  • MANCOM continues zero refund policy

    Last Thursdays meeting saw the Commission continue to grant refund-free exports. It granted 101,000t of wheat and 226,000t of barley at a zero refund, taking the totals awarded this season to 995,600t and 391,000t respectively.

  • ECB Intervention overshadowed by US elections

    With the outlook uncertain, the Euro strengthened against the Dollar. This did not prevent some rise in French market prices. For Sterling, both the Euro and the Dollar showed steady levels so that UK prices were given support from this.

  • ONIC lowers French soft wheat 2000/01 end-stocks

    ONIC, the French Cereals Authority, lowered its estimate of 2000/01 production from last month by 0.3m tonnes to 36.05m. This leaves end-stocks over 10% lower at 6.25m tonnes.
