Respiratory mask meets safety regs

TO meet increasing safety demands of the welding industry Protector Technologies has launched a mask with a built-in respiratory system.

Called Tor/Weld, the unit is designed to protect against UV rays and obnoxious welding gases.

The Tor/Weld comprises a lightweight unit with a helmet headtop and battery-powered blower with PSL filter which is worn around the welders waist.

Manufactured to European standards, the package includes a T4B version helmet with a flame retardant cotton face seal.

The unit can also be equipped with a passive or electronic welding filter, while a polyurethane hose and eight-hour battery is fitted as standard. Price is £275 (01695-727171, email info@protector-tech.com)
