TORAISECASH

RETIRED livestock auctioneer Roley Fraser is driving round Britain to raise cash for crisis-hit farmers.

Roley is making the 2100-mile journey in his 1926 Bentley, with all proceeds going to the Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institution and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.

The 75-year-old car and its almost equally aged driver started their epic trip in Perth and aim to motor back into the Scottish town – having been through Lands End and John OGroats – on Aug 20.

"Im confident well make it," says one-time chairman of United Auctions, Roley. Hes asking individuals and companies for sponsorship of at least 1p/mile. Anyone wanting to contribute should ring 01738-551745.
