Rowe Evans unaffected by upheaval
ROWE EVANS Investments, which has interests in oil palm and rubber plantations in Indonesia, said the palm oil industry is largely unaffected by political tensions of the region.
The company had seen a higher crop of oil palm fresh fruit bunches partly offset by lower selling prices.
But it still managed a 17% rise in first-half pre-tax profits to £2.7 million. Turnover was £2.2m (£1.5m).
