Rubber prices set to plummet
GLOBAL rubber prices are set for a massive downward correction if there is a break-up of the 22-member International Natural Rubber Organisation (INRO), reports The Guardian.
The worlds top three producers – Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia – are currently INRO members.
But Malaysia and Thailand are poised to leave the organisation, a move which would release 100,000 tonnes of rubber buffer stock onto a market already experiencing depressed prices.
