Rural councils call on Ambridge
to lobby for better public services

MORE than 50 English and Welsh rural local authorities launched a campaign for more funds for public services.

The Rural Services Partnership will lobby those with influence for improved support for a range of services, including education, economic development, transport, social services, leisure and libraries.

Editors of television and radio shows such as Emmerdale, The Archers and Peak Practice will be asked to highlight “real problems country people face in getting access to public services”.
