Sainsbury initiative to help British farms

THE Sainsbury supermarket chain is to sell cuts of meat from smaller British lambs in an attempt to help British sheep farmers, the company has announced.

The move follows talks with the National Farmers Union and meat suppliers.

Sainsbury expects to boost its demand for sheep by around 1000 lambs per week.
