Scientists judge GM study flawed
SCIENTISTS claim the study which sparked the furore in the UK over genetically modified (GM) food is defective.
Referees used by leading medical journal The Lancet to review the research judged it seriously flawed and unworthy of being published by a scientific journal.
The study claiming to show that rats suffer ill-health when fed GM potatoes was carried out by Dr Arpad Pusztai.
The scientists who assessed Pusztais work have condemned the decision to even publish the study if it does not carry their remarks about its scientific worth.
