Scot scoops tractor in FWi auction

A SCOTTISH farm contractor has bought a 55,000 Valtra tractor for just 29,601 after it was offered for sale through the FWi-Exchange auction.
Frank Colville, of Colville Contractors, Aberdeenshire, placed the winning bid three minutes before the 8pm deadline on Wednesday (29 November).
Bidding online was a “nerve-wracking”, he said. “We were sitting at the computer right until the last minute to make sure nobody outbid us.”
The list price for the Valtra 8350 tractor is 55,200. Its 6.6-litre, six-cylinder engine produces 99kw of power and a maximum torque of 650nm.
John Nichols, Valtras marketing manager, said: “Mr Colville got a good deal and were making arrangements now to deliver it up to Scotland.”
