Scotlands not UK, business told
INTERNATIONAL business was warned to treat Scotland differently from the rest of the UK by industry consultant Phil Thomas.
He told delegates to the annual conference of the National Office of Animal Health that post-devolution Scotland could become the UKs test-bed for food and farming issues.
The former head of the Scottish Agricultural College said the Scottish parliament has formidable power to affect peoples lives.
This could affect a wide range of issues from genetic modification to animal welfare including the use of drugs.
