Scots chem move

SCOTTISH growers could find pesticide inputs more competitively priced following Agrovistas move to strengthen its presence north of the border.

A new 10-strong team, including several defectors from rival supplier CSC, a new store at Forres, and trials planned in the borders and Aberdeenshire, demonstrate strong commitment to the industry, says regional director Fred Mason. &#42

"It reflects our confidence in farming and offers another option for growers."

Last year the company had only one person working in Scotland, notes agronomist John Hughes, formerly of CSC.
