Scots could be first to ban hunting
SCOTLAND put itself in pole position to be the first area to ban fox-hunting yesterday (Wednesday) when it published the legislation.
Hunting with dogs could become illegal by next year under what is likely to be the first private members Bill to be enacted by the Scottish parliament.
The Home Office is currently considering whether proposals to outlaw hunting in England and Wales should be made a government bill.
The alternative is to support a backbencher putting a private members bill through the Commons.
