Scots seek state aid to restart beef exports
THE Scotch Quality Beef and Lamb Association believes it needs more Government support if Scotland is to win back its export market after the beef ban.
The chairman of the association said £1 million a year would need to be spent for the next three years.
There is also concern about the investment needed to bring abattoir and processing facilities up to the standards demanded by the European Union.
