Search for common GM and organic ground
AGRICULTURAL columnist Fordyce Maxwell tries to establish common ground between supporters of genetically modified and organic food in The Scotsman.
Mr Maxwell runs through the well-rehearsed arguments on either side without coming to a conclusion.
But he predicts that organic production will expand to between 10 to 15% of the market at which stage it will not command a premium over conventionally grown produce.
