Security system alerts if intruders come near

PROTECT farm equipment stored in isolated places with a lightweight security system which can be moved from site to site.

Built by Wilts-based Fujikura Europe, the battery powered Sentor uses passive infra red detectors to sense sudden heat changes. When activated, a UHF signal is automatically broadcast to a pocket radio, alerting the user of an intruder.

Both range and sensitivity of the Sentor can be adjusted to suit conditions – maximum range is 40m (131ft) and, for large areas, an operational arc of up to 360í can be set.

When fully charged, the units 12V battery has a between-charge lifespan of about 3000 hours, claims the manufacturer.

Price of the Sentor 740 security system is £2850 including the pocket radio.n
