Self-propelled choice widens

CHOICE of self-propelled sprayers has increased by one following the introduction by Chavtrac of the 3000-litre capacity SupaSpray.

Based on the companys SupaNova unit, the sprayers power is supplied by a turbo-charged Perkins 1000 series engine rated at 110hp driving through a mechanical, eight-speed powershift transmission.

The vehicles mechanical transmission is claimed by Chavtrac to provide a more positive drive when working on hills than hydrostatic versions.

Spraying equipment comprises a low-profile stainless steel tank, designed to give the machine a low centre of gravity, and a boom width choice from 12m to 24m.

A centrifugal pump enables pressures of up to 100psi and application rates of up to 1000 litres/ha to be applied. Price of the SupaSpray starts at £53,885. &#42
