Seven varieties waiting in wings
NEW white clover varieties are promised by grass seed company Barenbrug following its acquisition of Agriseeds in New Zealand, breeders of Grassland Demand and Huia.
Barenbrug has seven varieties entered for recommended list consideration and expects the first to be available in two years. These should, says the company, offer improved persistence, encouraging winter survival and early spring growth, less risk of bloat, better disease resistance and improved protein content. *
