Sharp rise aheads in coffee output
WORLD coffee production is forecast to increase again this season despite lower output from Brazil, the largest producer.
The total world crop could reach almost 108 million 60kg bags in 1999-2000, or 1m bags above this years level, according to Commodity-expert.
The analysts believe that the Ivory Coast, Colombia and Ecuador will all see large jumps in production.
