Sheep shearer fatally electrocuted

FARM worker Kenneth Nicholson, 55, of New Brancepeth, Co Durham, was electrocuted in front of his son as they carried out their first sheep shearing of the year.

He is thought to have just taken the clippers from his son, Shaun, 28, when he suffered the shock. The Health and Safety Executive is investigating.
