Shropshire Echo
A CALL of 1850gns topped the trade when Shifnal, Shropshire, farmer Keith Gibbs offered youngstock from his Echo herd of Holstein Friesians at Crewe Livestock Centre.
The bid came for the six-month-old calf Echo Storm Lanette that traced back to Barivue Pabst Lana, dam of the leading sire Pickland Citation R. Buyer was Sean Landy, Northwich, Cheshire.
The sale included guest consignments. Overall average for 96 head was £426. (Wright-Manley) *
