A NEW world class congress to debate developments in world food and farming is to be staged every other year in London during the Royal Smithfield Show.
The first world food and farming congress, entitled: Meeting the needs of a Changing World, will take place at Londons Olympia on Mon, Nov 25 and Tues Nov 26. Planned by Clarion Events, organisers of the Royal Smithfield Show, and the Washington-based International Policy Council, the congress will be chaired by Lord Plumb.
Meanwhile, a new technical dairy feature, staged by The Royal Smithfield Show and the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, is planned for this years event and at the 2004 and 2006 Royal Smithfield Shows.
A new dairy area will be located on level 2 of Earls Court 1 and focus on the theme of breeding, feeding and technology.
The show will take place at Earls Court, London from Sun, Nov 24 to Wed, Nov 27. *
