Snowdon mountain farm gets £3m price tag

THE summit of Mount Snowdon is for sale as part of a farming estate sell-off estimated to be worth at least £3 million.
The Welsh estate rises from the Snowdonia National Park to the peak of Mount Snowdon.
It is owned by Richard Williams, who says he can no longer cope with running the 1,700ha (4,200 acre) hill farm.
His family has worked the land since the 17th century and has owned the Snowdon estate since the 1920s.
Mr Williams said he would not necessarily sell to the highest bidder and would prefer to sell to a fellow Welsh countryman.
But land agent Carter Jonas said it would accept nothing less than £3m. The Snowdon sell-off is the most significant landmark to come on the market since Lands End and John OGroats.
