Sodium lifts intake

SODIUM fertiliser applied to cow grazing ground lifts animals intake and improves the nutritional value of grass, claimed Richard Martin of ICI Fertilisers at the Conference. He cited studies at Bangor University that show cows on sodium-fertilised pasture produced 450 litres more milk over the grazing season. They grazed for longer, producing less waste and leaving a more even sward. &#42
