Software keeps eye on rural property

A NEW software program to help farmers keep tabs on their property has been announced by Farmplan.

Rent Manager, due to be launched at the Royal Highland Show on June 20, has been designed for the complete management of all rural properties, said the firm. The software is Windows-based and builds on a property management system from Hylton Nomis, the company Farmplan bought last year.

"The steep rise in property values in recent years has increased the pressure on everyone involved with managing properties," said the company.

The software, which links to Farmplans Business Manager accounts package, keeps track of rent reviews, issuing demands, reviewing and renegotiating leases.

Farmplan is owned by Reed Business Information which publishes farmers weekly. &#42
