Soothing cream for sore udders

SOOTHE sensitive udders with Uddermate, a new udder cream containing essential oils, says distributor, Genus.

It says the cream contains peppermint, tea tree and eucalyptus oils as well as sulphur extracts, and has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.

Used at the first sign of problems such as udder hardening or reluctance to be milked, the product is said to stimulate blood flow to the udder, possibly delaying requirement for antibiotics.

Uddermate costs £14 for a 500ml tube, but is available at £10 until the end of March (0870-1622000, fax 01270-536601).
