Strong mesh is on the right track

GIVE stock better access to fields, using Tensar Farm Track to repair, or prevent, muddy and rutted, tracks and gateways at low cost, says developer Netlon.

It says the high strength polypropylene mesh and non-woven geotextile minimises the need for ground preparation with no digging, just levelling, required before laying. The mesh also allows use of inexpensive surfacing materials such as crushed concrete or brick which can be covered with road scalpings to flatten the surface, adds Netlon. The geotextile fabric is said to stop the surface material sinking.

The 3.8m (12ft 8in) wide rolls of Tensar Farm Track cost £125 in 10m (33ft) lengths, and £475 in 40m (133ft) lengths, and it can be cut to size (01254-262431, fax 01254-661624).
