Taking heat out of summer

AFTER a way of keeping the farm office or diary parlour cool this summer – should it be a hot one?

The Scott Bros Convair Millenia produces an airflow using a three-speed fan with the air cooled by the evapouration of water held in three water soaked filter pads.

Scott Bros claims the unit can reduce the air temperature by 20-30% in rooms with an area of up to 15sq m.

Requiring 1050w to operate, the cooler is simply placed in a room, filled with water and plugged in. Price of the unit is £276. (01606-837787, web-site www.scottmail.co.uk)
