Talks on liberalising cocoa trade

GHANA is holding discussions with the Ivory Coast this week on co-ordinating cocoa sales in the 1999-2000 season.

The Ivory Coast, which is the worlds leading cocoa producer, is to liberalise the sector from the new season, ending government control over exports.
