Terra of Greece takes long-term
view of Balkans

GREEK agricultural equipment manufacturer Terra is taking a long-term view when it comes to selling to cash-strapped farmers in the Balkans.

George Papadopoulos, sales manager, said the company was working on the assumption that it may take another 10 years for an active farm equipment market to develop. In the meantime, it would concentrate on building relationships in the region.

He believes Albania, Macedonia and Bulgaria will eventually become important agricultural producers.
