This super supper is talk of town

AN invitation to the annual Norman Cross & District Hare Supper is much sought after by farmers living within 40 miles of Peterborough, for they can be sure of hearing a good speaker as as well as enjoying a good meal.

The Right Reverend William Westwood, Bishop of Peterborough, was guest speaker this year and he received a commemorative hare tie to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the revival of the Hare Supper. The event was first held during the war but, after a few years, lapsed until it was revived in 1975 by grain merchants F Terrell Ltd in conjunction with ICI.
