Time up for quota agency

THE Milk Marque quota agency is to cease trading as of June 22. The business was put on the market in March but foot-and-mouth worries within the dairy industry meant no deal could be finalised.

"Several interested parties made inquiries, but after further investigation nobody felt they could make a go of it under the current situation," said Milk Marques managing director David Jones. "The quota market is dead and the prospects for recovery this year look limited."

The agencys database remains available. &#42
