Top-range Ares models are here, says Renault

RENAULT Agricultures range topping 145hp 710RZ and 165hp 720RZ Ares tractors are now on stream, reports the company.

Announced earlier this year (Machinery, Jan 17), the Ares range is powered by Deere Power Systems (DPS) engines – the 710 and 720 having 6-cylinder blocks.

Transmission comprises an eight-speed box, each with four button activated powershift ratios to produce a 32 x 32 unit. It will be recalled that GIMA transmissions are the result of a 50:50 joint venture with Massey Ferguson. Hydraulic lift capacity for both new models is rated at 10,740kg employing the manufactures TCE 20 electronic linkage system. It is a system which provides electronic lower link load sensing, a programmable, automatic draft control and wheelslip regulation.

Standard specification for the 710 and 720 is use of Renaults RZ suspension cab complete with air conditioning, digital instrumentation and, it is claimed, 320í visibility.

Price of the Ares 710RZ is listed at £56,462, and the 720RZ at £60,920. &#42

Renault Agricultures Ares 720RZ goes through its paces with a seven-furrow plough. Currently the most powerful tractor in the Ares range, there are plans to top the 200hp mark with future models.
