Tories pick farmer for Ayr
A LOCAL farmer has been chosen by the Conservatives to fight their corner in the Scottish parliaments first by-election in Ayr in March.
John Scott established the Ayrshire Farmers Market and is a prominent figure in the National Farmers Union of Scotland.
He also served on the Tories Rifkind Policy Commission as the rural affairs commissioner and wrote the rural affairs policy group report.
