SEVEN days of non-stop tractor driving to complete a round-Britain tour. That is the intention of a small band of "insomniac" farmers and friends who aim to raise lots of money for Multiple Sclerosis Research.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Friern Barnet and Whetstone, north London, and sponsored by New Holland, E Doe and Richard Western, the event is due to start in Basildon, Essex, at 9.30am on June 3.
A Ford 8970 equipped with Pirelli tyres forms the workhorse for this demanding event, which is expected to cover about 3400 miles. Its planned, anti-clockwise route takes in all of Britains main coastal towns. Details from Jeff Skidmore (01438-869537). *
