Tractor sales fall

FEW would say that tractor sales in 1998 are set to break any records. Latest figures to be released by the Agricultural Engineers Association reveal that the total number of 40hp+ registrations for the first three months is 46.2% less than for the same period last year.

With 539 tractors registered in January (-58.2%), 698 in February (-44.6%) and now, 908 in March (-36.9%), the year-to-date figure amounts to 2145 units.
