A tractor driver who died after a road traffic collision had “a love for farming”, his grieving family said.
Robert Vokes was killed following the accident in Camborne, Cornwall, on Monday 6 July.
The 42-year-old, from St Austell, had been towing a large tractor-trailer when it overturned at the entrance to Pendarves Farm at about 5pm.
Mr Vokes became trapped under the tractor and suffered fatal crush injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A specialist forensic investigation of the scene was carried out by police resulting in the access road to the farm being closed for six hours.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
Mr Vokes “had a love of farming and came from a large family”, said a statement released by Devon and Cornwall Police.
Officers from the force’s serious collision investigation unit are appealing for witnesses to this incident.
