Two new self-propelled sprayers on the scene

THE self-propelled sprayer market is now richer to the tune of two new machines.

From Lancaster Crop Sprayers comes the Lanc-lite-Trac (LLT) which, as its name attempts to suggest, is a lightweight machine suitable for most spraying operations. From Housham is a new Swift sprayer aimed at the gap between the smaller hydrostatic and low ground pressure machines.

The LLT, is a mechanically-driven, four-wheel drive, four-wheel steer unit which is equipped with all-round air suspension. Spraying kit comprises a 24m boom, 2000 litre stainless steel tank and a stainless steel spray line. Options include a 2500 litre tank and the companys sleeve boom. Price is £51,500.

The latest Swift sprayer now has a 1600 litres tank and Houshams hydraulically-folding 12/20m steel boom.

Powered by an 87hp Iveco engine, transmission is hydrostatic. Front and rear suspension and a choice of two or four-wheel steer, is included in the specification. Price of the Swift is £44,000.
