Ulster Charolais crowd

A BUMPER crowd at Portadown saw bidding reach 4050gns at the Northern Ireland Charolais Clubs autumn show and sale last week.

Top call came for Shaneglish Leland, an impressive son of the Brampton Petition-sired Arney Executive from Goodlet Ardis, Craigavon. He was claimed by Dennis Doran, Co Down.

Eugene Mullan, who runs the Islaharnan herd at Ballymoney, Co Antrim, sold two sons of the new herd sire Corcreevy Izaak at 3550gns and 3000gns to Norman Johnson and John McCaffrey.

A widely-admired son of Glenross Graham, Silverbridge Lucky, lived up to his name for breeder John Brown, Co Tyrone. He stood supreme champion under judge James Owens, Broughshane and made 3100gns to David Hunter. (Automart)
