Unigate buys Wessex milkmen
UNIGATE will announce today (Tuesday) it is buying the doorstep milk delivery business of Wessex Dairies for about £7 million cash.
The business serves some 150,000 customers and has an annual turnover of about £25m.
Unigates acquisition strategy has been focused on non-dairy businesses so far.
It recently bought Albert Fishers sauces business for £43m.
