A SCOTTISH vet is suing his own father for £25,000 damages after his leg was broken by a cow.

Graeme Richardson said his injury was caused by the “fault and negligence” of his father, Ian.

He had been treating a Limousin cow when it kicked him.

In a damages action taking place in Edinburgh, Richardson said his father should have known the breed was “fractious”.

His father claims the cow had no history of vicious behaviour.

The son is a partner in a veterinary practice in Kirriemuir, Angus, and visited the family farm at Bridge of Cally, Perthshire, in August 1996.
