We are not Real CA, says real CA
THE Countryside Alliance has distanced itself from posters associated with a group calling itself Real CA.
The posters, which have a background of a green and white Union Flag, have recently appeared beside the A140 and A11 roads in East Anglia and have previously been seen alongside routes in Yorks.
One slogan says "Civil Rights or Civil War" while others say "Hunting is Freedom" and "Down with Bigotry".
In the bottom right-hand corner of the posters are the words Real CA, carrying the impression it may be a breakaway, militant faction of the Countryside Alliance.
However, the identity of the person or persons responsible for the production of the posters remains a mystery.
The Countryside Alliance said this week that it had received reports about the posters from various parts of the country.
"There are a lot of people out there in the rural areas who are fed up with not being listened to but we have no idea who is putting these posters up. It has nothing to do with us," said a spokesman at the organisations London headquarters.
He said the Alliance would not condone slogans such as "Civil Rights or Civil War"
Liz Mort, East Anglian spokeswoman for the Countryside Alliance, said she had seen the posters beside the Ipswich to Norwich road. "We are completely in the dark over who has put them up. It is not us." *
