Welsh appeal

The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society has appealed for a £400,000 cash lifeline following cancellation of its four day summer show and other events.

Emrys Evans, chairman of the societys board of management says he has written to Carwyn Jones, the National Assemblys minister for rural affairs, spelling out losses totalling £538,000 resulting from cancellation of 75 events on its Builth Wells showground.
