What carers want

STOCKPEOPLE taking care of dairy cows want innovations to ease cleaning tasks and improve the milking parlour environment.

According to an MDC study by Martin Seabrook of Nottingham University and Leeds Universitys Mike Wilkinson, top priorities are automated scrapers, easy to clean parlours and plastic parlour walls to ease cleaning tasks.

Stockpeople also want improved parlour facilities, including better entry and exit points for cows and people, control of flies and temperature control.
