Why no Tory at the NFU conference?

22 January 2001
Why no Tory at the NFU conference?

HOW come the NFU has not invited a Conservative Party speaker to our conference in February?

Why on earth are they giving socialists the opportunity to spread their offensive Marxist claptrap at a gathering of businessmen and landowners, most of whom believe in the free enterprise system and the right to own and enjoy private property?

To exclude the Tories in an election year is not just an oversight, but looks to us to be a crafty and underhand way of promoting the political rubbish spouted by the other anti capitalist Party spokespersons.
