Woldmarsh turnover climbs

4 September 2000

EXTRA membership helped turnover climb by almost a quarter to 26.75m at Lincs-based Woldmarsh producers in the year to the end of March.

A 10% increase in the number of members means the co-op now has over 500 farmer members in Lincs and East Yorks on its books, farming almost 146,000ha (360,000 acres).

Savings on arable inputs range from 10-30%, says the company. Higher turnover and tight cost control meant membership charges accounted for just 0.66% of purchases, a slight fall on the year.
