Yeo replaces May in reshuffle

CONSERVATIVE LEADER Michael Howard has reshuffled his top team, moving Tim Yeo to the position of shadow secretary for environment and transport.

Mr Yeo, who has held the position of shadow secretary for education and health, will replace Theresa May, who in turn has been appointed shadow family secretary.

The move will see Mr Yeo return to familiar territory as the environment and transport portfolio covers farming issues and he was shadow agriculture minister until Sept 2001.

The Cambridge-educated MP for South Suffolk describes rural affairs among his interests.
