Zetor importer in deal with Landini

By Ian Marshall

ZETOR tractor importer Motokov UK has topped and tailed the power range it handles by taking on the distribution of Landini Tractors, excluding Northern Ireland, as from the beginning of this month.

"The arrangement is one which gives both parties the opportunity to increase their penetration of a challenging market," explains Andrew Martin, Zetors UK sales manager.

"Landini gets access to Motokovs established service and after-sales support facilities; Motokov gets access to the full range of Landini models, which gives it a presence in the 110-140hp wheeled sector of the agricultural market, with up to 160hp if required. There is also the addition of track layers in the 70-85hp range and fruit and narrow tractors."

As to distribution, both marques will continue to be sold, primarily, through dedicated dealer networks.

"The intention is to retain current Landini dealers and increase the number to more than 30 by next year," says Mr Martin. "Gaps in Landinis existing coverage will be filled by 20 of Zetors 80 outlets taking on dual franchises." &#42
