Blackacre Farm Eggs are now available locally in seven Asda stores, the first time the brand has appeared on the shelves of the major retailers.

The company has been producing eggs in the West Country for the last 30 years, supplying a large number of independent stores.

Dan Wood said: “We already supply over 700 customers throughout the south west with our free-range eggs and going into one of the major supermarkets is a huge step in the right direction for Blackacre.

“The move will ensure that Asda shoppers in this area are able to buy fresh and delicious free-range eggs laid by hens roaming in West Country fields.”

He added: “At Blackacre Farm we pack and distribute all our own eggs and our move into Asda is not only great news for shoppers looking to buy the very best West Country eggs, but also for our team of packers and drivers at Blackacre Farm and the local family farms that we work with.

“We have always believed that healthy happy hens will produce healthy and delicious eggs, and the move into Asda stores is testament to the years of hard work that we have put into maintaining this ethos.”

The Asda stores selling Blackacre free-range eggs are in Yeovil, Frome, Bridgwater, Taunton, Weston Super Mare, Highbridge and Trowbridge.
