British Lion egg producers are launching a multimedia campaign to coincide with British Egg week (1-7 October).

The “Fast Food and Good for You” TV campaign will feature quick and easy meals using eggs, and will air during the Daybreak breakfast show on ITV.

The British Egg Information Service will also be promoting the launch of the cookbook Take a Box of Eggs. Part of a popular series from Dairy Diary, the book contains more than 100 easy egg-based recipes.

The promotion of British Egg Week will be accompanied by a social media drive encouraging Twitter and Facebook users to swap recipe ideas and the website www.britisheggweek.com will be a hub with news, recipes and competitions.

British Egg Week is run just ahead of World Egg day on 12 October.
