Poultry health firm Zoetis has announced the appointment of Wayne Olbison as field service manager.

In his new role he will work at farm level providing training and expertise to support the range of Zoetis products. Activities will include training and audits for vaccine storage and administration both on farm and in the hatchery, together with support for the Zoetis anticoccidial business.

“Wayne’s extensive background in the industry will be a big asset to our poultry team,” said James Porritt, Zoetis poultry manager for the UK and Ireland.

“We have one of the widest product ranges and Wayne’s role is a vital support function for our customers in the practical use of Zoetis products,” he added.

Mr Olbison has more than 30 years’ experience within the poultry industry. Previous roles include a general manager role at Hook2Sisters in East Anglia, senior production manager for Grampian in the same region and manager of a 360,000-bird broiler farm for Faccenda in Northamptonshire.

He is married with three children, lives in Garboldisham, South Norfolk, and is a member of the Norfolk and Suffolk Poultry Discussion Group.
